Privacy — plain language, minimal collection

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 5, 2026 · Pending review by counsel before public launch — see the release checklist.

A plain-language summary of what DeFi Checkup collects and why. It reflects how the product actually works today. This page is not itself legal advice.

What we collect

We collect the minimum needed to run the service and nothing more.

  • Email address — when you join the waitlist or submit a wallet for a checkup, so we can deliver the memo or product updates.
  • Wallet address, ENS name, or DeBank profile URL — the read-only reference you submit. This is publicly available blockchain data.
  • IP address — used transiently for rate limiting and abuse prevention. It is not stored alongside your submission and is not used to profile you.

How we use your data

  • To run the analysis you requested and deliver the resulting risk memo.
  • To notify you about the service, if you asked to be notified.
  • We never sell your data, and we never share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Wallet addresses are public data

Blockchain addresses and their transaction history are public by design. When you submit an address, you are pointing us at data that already exists on a public ledger. We analyse it as third-party-observable data and make no claim that you own or control it.

We do not attempt to link an address to a real person, and we do not publish speculation about who is behind any wallet.

Email and the waitlist

The waitlist is a single list used only to send DeFi Checkup product updates. It is never shared or sold.

You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email, or by emailing us at the address below. A double opt-in confirmation is planned so that no marketing email is sent before you confirm.

Where your data is stored

Submissions and waitlist entries are stored in local file storage on our own server. We do not use a third-party database or CRM for this data.

Cookies and analytics

The site sets no tracking cookies and runs no third-party advertising or behavioural analytics. If we add analytics later, it will be a cookieless, privacy-preserving option, and this page will be updated first.

Third-party services

The analysis depends on a small number of external services, each touching only the data needed to do its job:

  • DefiLlama — public pricing data for the assets in a portfolio.
  • Public Ethereum and Base RPC endpoints — to read publicly available on-chain balances.
  • Resend — notification and transactional email delivery, where configured. Your email address is shared with it only to deliver the message you asked for.

How long we keep it

  • Wallet analysis results are cached for about 24 hours and then automatically deleted.
  • Submissions and waitlist entries are kept until you ask us to delete them, or until an administrator removes them.
  • We do not retain raw IP addresses alongside your submission.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Email us at the address below, and we will action deletion requests across submissions, waitlist entries, and cached results.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be noted.
